These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SOSVine mobile application ("the App") operated by SOSVine ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
SOSVine is a mobile application designed to help vineyard owners and managers monitor disease and pest risks, track weather threats, log treatments, and share community observations. The App provides data-driven risk assessments based on environmental data and community reports.
User Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Community Reports
- You are responsible for the accuracy of any community reports you submit
- Reports must reflect genuine observations from your vineyard or surrounding area
- Deliberately submitting false or misleading reports is prohibited
- Abuse of the reporting system, including spam or malicious content, may result in account suspension or termination
- By submitting reports, you grant SOSVine the right to display them anonymously to other users
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, algorithms, and software — are the exclusive property of SOSVine and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
- SOSVine is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of risk assessments, weather data, or community reports
- In no event shall SOSVine be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App in the preceding 12 months
Disclaimer — Agricultural Advice
SOSVine is a decision-support tool, not a replacement for professional agronomic advice. Risk assessments and recommendations provided by the App are informational only and should not be solely relied upon for agricultural decisions. Always consult qualified professionals for critical vineyard management decisions. SOSVine is not responsible for crop losses, treatment decisions, or any outcomes resulting from reliance on the App's information.
App Permissions
The App may request access to the following device features with your explicit permission:
- Location Services — to position your vineyards and display nearby reports
- Camera & Photo Library — to attach photos to community reports
- Push Notifications — to deliver alerts about risks, weather, and community activity
You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms the App, its users, or the integrity of the community. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
